Honey processing plant opened in one of the Ukrainian villages

In the village of Soposhin in the Lviv region, the only honey processing plant in Ukraine began its work. According to producers and processors, honey is exported to EU countries and Canada, where it is in great demand among buyers.

The company accepts for processing various raw materials, but nevertheless, the purest honey without impurities, such as acacia, buckwheat or lime, is in the greatest demand. Only polyporous (mixed grass) honey is exported about 500-1000 tons per year.

According to the plant management, the plant is not oriented towards the sale of honey at retail. The minimum order starts from 20-30 liters. At the moment, the state has invested about 20 million UAH in the development of the plant, and according to the plant director, they hope that Ukrainian honey will become popular in Ukraine itself.

Soon, according to management, in addition to processing raw materials, they will open an industrial apiary where raw materials can be collected. In general, the company is going to create about 50 new jobs. Let us remind you that, according to statistics for 2018, Ukraine ranks 5th in honey production in the world. Only in one year, the country sends about 50000-70000 tons of honey per year.
