  • single teeth - planting material received a year after planting bulbokhek. They can be left where they grew up;
  • teeth from mature heads - they must first be treated with special compounds to protect the seeds from disease and freezing.

Basic landing rules:

  1. Disembark from late October to mid-November. Try to do this for 3-4 weeks before the first frost on the ground.
  2. Choose the most suitable place. Garlic is bad where a lot of water accumulates in the spring, and on the heights “Lyubasha” will freeze in winter due to lack of snow. It is better to choose an even well-lit area.
  3. Before landing, dig the ground to a depth of at least 30 cm. Remove all large stones, weeds, debris. Rumble and level the soil.
  4. Fertilize - humus, manure or compost (certainly aged). The calculation is 10 liters per 3 m². It is not recommended to use fresh manure, which can damage the seeds.
  5. Sanitize planting material for half an hour in a weak solution of potassium permanganate.
  6. Seal the seeds in the ground at a distance of 10 cm from each other. Between rows it is advisable to leave about 40 cm. If you use teeth or single teeth for planting, dig them into the ground 5 cm with the heel down. The remaining conditions are the same.
  7. Tumble the soil with peat, needles, fallen leaves or hay with a layer of at least 3 cm. If the winter is not snowy, such coverage will help protect the crop from frost.
Important! Garlic will grow well on the site of cabbage, pumpkin, legumes and green crops.
