In 2016, the shortage of foreign trade in goods in Ukraine increased

According to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, as of February 14, in 2016, the foreign trade deficit in Ukraine increased to 2.886 billion dollars, against the trade surplus, which amounted to 610.7 million US dollars in the previous year.

In particular, last year the export of goods from Ukraine amounted to 36.363 billion dollars, which is 4% more compared to the results of 2015, when the volume of imports of goods to Ukraine amounted to 39.249 billion dollars, which is 4.6% more. The export / import coverage ratio was 0.93 (in 2015 it was 1.02). Ukraine successfully conducted foreign trade operations with partners from 226 different countries of the world. During the reporting period, the volume of Ukrainian goods for export to the European Union increased by 3.7% compared with 2015 - to 13.498 billion dollars. Imports of goods in the EU increased by 11.8% to $ 17.138 billion.
