On May 3, 2019, the analysts of the information agency Info Industry conducted a monitoring of the state of the sowing campaign in the country. Many farmers reported that adverse weather conditions did not adversely affect the sowing campaign. But in a number of regions, torrential rains, hail and strong wind caused damage to the shoots of early spring crops and winter crops.
Most respondents from the central and southern regions of Ukraine said that the weather conditions of the current week could not have a negative impact on the sowing campaign.

The agrarians of the Krinichansky district of the Dnepropetrovsk region, the New Odessa district of the Nikolaev region, the Tokmak district of the Zaporozhye region, and the Shpolyansky district of the Cherkassy region were not so pleased with the weather. They reported that hail and strong wind partially damaged their fields, but farmers are not going to re-crop their crops.
