The Dutch brewery Lowlander Beer has decided to make a "winter series" of beer from Christmas trees thrown out after the New Year holidays.
For the preparation of an exclusive hop drink, the company used about 600 kg of spruce needles. According to the creators of the beer novelty, they wanted to breathe new life into the evergreen element of Christmas and New Year. The beer was called Lowlander Botanical Brut, which included fir needles and champagne yeast. Beer has already been presented in 700 beer establishments in the Netherlands.
