"Nut vandalism": Hazelnut size of 1.2 hectares was destroyed near Poltava

A young couple of farmers who live in a village near Poltava are looking for vandals who destroyed 1.2 hectares of a walnut orchard. When the attackers stole more than 80% of elite saplings of the walnut seedlings and broke almost the entire fence that the hazel was supposed to protect, the couple filed a lawsuit and is now waiting for a decision.

In the spring of 2018, creating a family farm, the couple called it "Marusin Garden" in honor of a three-year-old daughter. Having bought the abandoned land, they hoped that hazel would bear fruit. With their statement, they would be ready to give seedlings to those who would like to plant nuts.

As it turned out, the good idea was not to everyone’s liking, and even the owners of the farm claimed that the business began with bad “signs”: back in the fall, someone had broken 7 columns from the fence.
